Fraggle Rock
by Adrianne Ambrose, Nichol Ashworth, Bryce Coleman and Jeffrey Brown

I bought this during Borders' going out of business sale. I enjoyed the show so much as a kid and saw a sample from this at Free Comic Book Day one year. I finally got a chance to read it during my Do Nothing But Read Day on 1/29/12.

This was an adorable collection of stories featuring all the different Fraggles. I loved their adventures in the Rock and in Outer Space. There were even some great stories involving the gorgs and the Doozers. There was even a story/postcard from Goober's Uncle Traveling Matt! All the stories were written with the fraggle spirit and with all the details of their world in mind.

My favorite story was easily when Doc & Sprocket take in a stray cat and the cat escapes from Sprocket down into the Rock. Wembley meets up with it and freaks out (of course), but then realizes the cat loves to snuggle and play with his tail. The other fraggles think the cat is dangerous, but then they realize it's just lost and needs to find its way home. To get it out, they lead it with their tails. Each fraggle takes a turn running (in their own style) until the cat is back in the workshop.

The illustrators were all fantastic. Even though there were quite a few different styles, they were all pleasing to me and made the fraggles quite lovable. It was such a pleasure diving back into the world of Fraggle Rock for an hour through all of these great stories. I highly recommend it to any fan of the original show.
