The Adoration of Jenna Fox

I had a strange experience with this story. I am not certain if the author meant the main character's status to be a secret until it's revealed, but given that it's revealed a long way into the story it felt to me like it was supposed to be some sort of surprise or something the reader was meant to figure out. But the summary for the book on the library's website revealed it, so I knew going in what the heck was up with Jenna. Also, I was watching Caprica at the time, so it probably wouldn't have taken me long to figure it out on my own.
So I guess I should say SPOILERS! I thought it was a good, creative version of how society might evolve in the very near future. Jenna coping with life was quite interesting to watch, especially once she had figured out what she was. I really enjoyed the moral dilemmas that arise, not just for her parents because of her existence but because of her friends and the circumstances around the accident. It was fascinating to see her reactions and actions. And the end was quite bittersweet. It takes someone who is a little less than human to reveal the truth about humanity, sometimes.
Jenna was very likable, I thought, and that kept me going through the book.
