Hmm. What to say about this? I wasn't terribly impressed, but it was a nice, enjoyable story. It went on a tad longer than I was in the mood for (not the book's fault) and it was a little difficult keeping track of all the characters at first (had to re-listen to parts of the first disc because I didn't understand the sudden jump). But once I understood all the players it was quite interesting. I liked the way the puzzle pieces came together in the end. I especially liked the setting, since it's near where I live :-)

My favorite parts were the... ambiguously supernatural moments and the human sides of the characters.

I'm not sure I would go hunting out more of the author's works, but I wouldn't avoid them and I'm glad I had a chance to try this one out.
