I liked the general concept of this story, where poor Haru has lost his family and a lawyer just so happens to step up to the bat to take him in and look after him. It turns out Senoh met Haru when they were both young; Senoh was injured & angsty and Haru's mother was in the hospital dying. The little boy made an impression then and Senoh wants to repay the favor by looking after Haru (protecting him from debt collectors and from the darkness of being orphaned).
However, there were many moments when it didn't seem like the story was going anywhere. I am not so thrilled with stories where adults and children start a relationship together... but this one was easier to handle because they were both young when they met. There were lots of moments I loved (like Haru worrying about Senoh walking home in the rain and goes out to the train station with umbrellas... only to have Senoh take a taxi home instead). But mostly it was just a steady story with nothing much happening and me not knowing where it was headed. I knew it was YA Yaoi, but even so, so little happens that I couldn't get emotionally drawn in before it was all over.
