The Last Little Blue Envelope
by Maureen Johnson

The sequel to Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes has a mysterious and kind of annoying young man named Oliver contacting Ginny because he found the letters from her aunt that she lost in Greece during the last book. The last letter has instructions about assembling Aunt Peg's last masterpiece and he wants a cut of the auction sale. So Ginny heads back to England for the letters and to follow her aunt's instructions. She also wants to see Keith again but Keith seems to have someone else in his life already--or does he?

All four of them roam together around Europe to collect the pieces of art and drama ensues. Keith hates Oliver and still has feelings for Ginny, but now this Ellis is tagging along for the ride. Oliver is a jerk and manipulating Ginny, but he's also picked on and has many moments of kindness and normality. And Ellis is someone you want to hate because OMG Ginny+Keith is adorable, except no one (not even Ginny) can hate her. So, yeah, it's got drama. Lots of drama. Understandable drama.

The end made me tear up a little, especially the last sentence. It didn't end as I expected it to, but I liked the ending a lot. And it was wonderful to finally get to read that last little blue envelope over the course of the book with Ginny & friends. It definitely wrapped everything up nicely and made me feel good. Certainly not a deep or soul-searching book, but a nice sequel and adventure and I'm glad I finally know what happens to these characters, Peg included.
