Well, it did end up being interesting... but a little too crazy for my tastes, I think.
The stories are definitely quite violent and some of them are dementedly sick--but in a clever, entertaining sort of way. The stories are very short--almost all of them a few pages long. And the cleverest ones make a good point or an impact in just those few pages. Two or three of them left me saying "huh? That's it?" and feeling dumb. Some of the art styles weren't really my favorites, either. The content was dark and violent but not too dark for me.
I think I would have enjoyed them more if I had some idea of who this Dr. Dremo fellow is. It seems like I was supposed to have some affection toward him and want to follow him along through all of these twisted tales. But I didn't know the guy at all and didn't get to figure out what his deal was during this book as he just pops up here and here.
