The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig
by Eugene Trivizas, Helen Oxenbury
Another book I just happened upon while volunteering at the library. This is a fun twist on the classic story. I this one, the wolves head out into the world and start out by building a brick house, then a concrete house. But the big, bad pig comes along... and he's got a jackhammer. So the wolves come up with a concept for a house that is both beautiful and clever... one that the pig can't knock down!
The illustrations are fun and soft--quite appealing. And the story is clever and funny. Definitely a great twist on this well-known story!
