I enjoyed this show when it was on TV and I often thought of myself as a not-quite-so-morbid version of Daria. We had a lot of similarities. My sister was a fashionista, my best friends were one of the smartest girls in school and one of the best artists in school, and Daria and I play volleyball exactly the same way (which is to say not moving when the ball comes near us).
It was kind of amazing how much I remembered from the show, even though I hadn't seen it in at least 15 years. This is a fun "bonus content" kind of look at the town of Lawndale, Lawndale High School, and Daria's life. It included everything from maps to notes passed in class to creative writing homework assignments to personal ads to minutes of the fashion club meetings to postcards. I found it all amusing and true to the show. A fun, light read that definitely took me back. The only draw-back was that this is a BookCrossing book, so I couldn't cut out the paper dolls and play with them. heehee
