This was pretty cute. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I read it the day I got home from gallbladder surgery and needed something to take my mind off the owing. There's a yaoi bookbox coming my way soon, so I'm using that as an excuse to finally get some of these books off my Mt. TBR.
The art actually grew on me, and I liked the Italian influences. I thought Davide was pretty adorable already, without needing a makeover. But it definitely boosted his confidence enough to go after what he realized he really wanted... and what he really wanted was, to his surprise, not the girl he'd had a crush on but Valerio. At first, I thought Valerio was shallow and self-centered, but I grew to love his passion for working with sick kids.
The ending filled me with warm fuzzies and definitely put a smile on my face. I also loved that each chapter/section had music cues at the bottom; I knew a few of the songs, but not all of them (I looked a few up online). It was fun to have a soundtrack along with the stories.
I usually hate bonus teasing stories at the end of manga because I get really into it and then I don't get to finish it! But this one was actually a rather nice read as well. Definitely some pretty men in it.
