Will's Quill

A delightful book with gorgeous illustrations. It's a story with a lot of really typical elements (fish out of water, friendship, changing history with Shakespeare) told in a charming, original way. I loved Willoughby Waddles' desire to be useful and his loyalty to his new friend, Will. William Shakespeare was kind and I loved watching him get inspired and writing while the goose curled up under one of his tables.
Very sweet and fun, but it's the illustrations that are so pretty and detailed at the same time which totally blew me away. I should have guessed it was the same author who did Corduroy.
