Actual Conversation

This is an ACTUAL conversation I had a few minutes ago with one of the library friends tonight when I was working the book sale. Keep in mind that I gave them a piece of paper explaining I was looking for Choose Your Own Adventure-type books and this piece of paper had a whole bunch of examples on it including covers of books.

Her: Finding anything you were looking for?
Me (in a somewhat cheery voice): Not this time, unfortunately.
Her: You know, yesterday I saw some books that said "Adventure" across the top and then inside you could choose the endings. Is that what you're looking for?
Me: Yes! That's exactly what I'm looking for!
Her: Oh, we had so many books yesterday we packed those away already.
Me: *facepalm*

I certainly don't expect them to root through bins or boxes looking for books for me, but if you happen across them and notice them AND think of me... then for the love of all things Bally, set them aside for a day for me! LOL *headdesk*

I did end up buying 2 Harry Potter books (saving them for Accio Books next March) so that's something at least.
