I didn't love this book as much as I loved Suite Scarlett, but I was glad to visit Scarlett and her world again with her family's hotel. This story picks up shortly after the first book.
In this one, Scarlett's boss has her first real clients (not counting Scarlett's brother). The child star seems completely into a life as an actress... however, her brother hates it. Scarlett is instructed to woo Chelsea, and that means helping her brother adjusting to his new school. Max seems to hate everything. What he likes is to pester Scarlett. He's a complete jerk, but you can probably guess that means he likes her. Problem is, she's sort of stuck on Eric still.
And there are other problems in her life. Her younger sister seems to be manipulating the system to get appointed to a place of prominance in the organization for children who have/had cancer. Her older sister runs off and suddenly gets married--changing everyone's lives forever permanently. And her older brother desperately searches for a gig as an actor so he can pursue his dream and break from his life as a hotel cook. Scarlett has to deal with all of this.
It's an enjoyable story, and I look forward to more in the series with these great characters!
